The German Studies Department at Davidson College invites applications for a full-time one-year visiting position, beginning July 1, 2019 (ABD or PhD in hand by the time of appointment). We are looking for a colleague who is a demonstrated gifted language teacher, has strong scholarly potential, is committed to mentoring undergraduate students, and will contribute enthusiastically to German Studies. Teaching load is five courses per year from among all departmental offerings. Field open. Native or near-native proficiency in German is required. Due to the timing of this position, we will not currently be able to support a visa sponsorship.
