Assistant/Associate/ Full Professor
The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) invites applications for full-time faculty positions at any rank, in the In Residence and Adjunct faculty series.
The UCSF Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics is the largest department of epidemiology in the University of California system and has a strong mission in education, research and clinical activities. The Department provides a supportive academic environment for original research, including opportunities for collaboration with researchers from other departments and UCSF Schools, as well as teaching and mentoring as part of our Master’s Degree in Clinical Research and the Epidemiology and Translational Science PhD program.
Duties: The successful candidates will conduct epidemiologic, population-based, public health, prevention and/or clinical research funded by extramural sources and be committed to regular and ongoing teaching. There are also opportunities for leadership within the department.
Qualifications: Doctorate in medicine, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health or a closely related field. Candidates must have a record of excellence and accomplishment in original research in population-based, public health, clinical epidemiology or preventive medicine and extramural funding for research in areas of interest. They must also be committed to excellence in teaching. Preference will be given to candidates with areas of research compatible with current departmental programs.
