This position is a web development position for the New Technologies Development Group (NTDG) within Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) in ITCS. Primary responsibilities include full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) engagement and application development of enterprise-wide internet applications in support of the University's web portal environment.
This position has responsibility for planning, developing or enhancing, maintenance and oversight of technically complex computer applications requiring a high level of analytical and programming knowledge and skills. This position will often function as the top-level technical contributor for specialized projects and will also be responsible for meeting with management to define and design applications to meet the automation requirements of the University. Primary job duties involve modern UI/UX design, architecture design, analysis, programming, integration, and testing of integrated enterprise systems spanning the entire university.
The position is also responsible for providing technical consultation and training to team members, project leaders, managers, departments, faculty, and related university personnel and organizations. As well as serving in a project management support role for projects assigned to the team. This position must also evaluate new technologies with the intent of implementation as well as to provide training to other team members and be a source for the development and enforcement of team policies, procedures, and standards. All work responsibilities must be performed with a minimum of technical supervision.
This position will develop and maintain documentation for new and existing applications, effectively prioritize assigned tasks, and ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner. All work responsibilities should be performed with limited technical supervision.

Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) is responsible for the design, development, implementation, operation and enhancement of administrative computer applications for over 28,000 students and over 6,100 employees at ECU. EIS works closely with central offices across campus, including numerous steering committees, to ensure administrative systems meet the needs of the university.
