A Research Technician position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Johannes Yeh at CSHL Cancer Center. Qualified candidates interested in cancer biology, cell signaling, antibody technologies and drug discovery are encouraged to apply.
The Research Technician will perform a variety of research/laboratory tasks, including cell culture, immunoassays, protein purification, PCR and molecular cloning etc. The candidate will also be responsible for general laboratory organization and maintenance. Mentored research training will be provided. The candidate needs to demonstrate good working ethic and personal skills working independently as well as within a team. Graduates that have a strong passion in pursuing a career in STEM are highly encouraged to apply.
Skills: The successful candidate should possess excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills, will be willing to take initiative, and will be able to work effectively and productively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a strong sense of integrity.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in biology/ chemistry or related discipline is required.
