The Department of Mathematics at Northeastern invites applications for a Non-Tenure Track position for the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor/Associate Teaching Professor beginning in September 2019.
This is a full time, benefits eligible position and Teaching Professors are responsible for a 6-course teaching load, 3 courses per semester.
Specific areas of interest for the department are Probability and Statistics, Numerical Analysis, Stochastic Analysis, Financial Mathematics, Data Science, Graph Theory, Number Theory, Calculus, and Differential Equations. The Teaching Professor will participate in organizational meetings regarding courses during the semester, administer exams to students and hold related office hours.
The applicant must have a Ph.D. degree in mathematics/applied mathematics/statistics or a related field by the start of the appointment. The applicant must have a strong background in teaching mathematics.
