Under general supervision from a designated administrator, provide comprehensive clinical, consultative, emergency and psycho-educational services reflecting the needs of a diverse student body, following all relevant national professional association ethical standards and state and federal laws regarding service deliver, record keeping, documentation, and other professional activities. The Psychologist applies psychological principles and techniques to direct clinical care of patients. Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats psychological disorders. Teaches and supervises as necessary. Uses empirically supported treatments.
Primary Duties/Essential Job Responsibilities and Functions:
Applies and supervises application of psychological procedures and techniques in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating psychological disorders.
Provides primarily individual therapy, with option for group/couples/family as needed, using empirically supported treatments to achieve more effective personal, interpersonal, academic, and occupational functioning.
Is trained and competent with use of standardized assessment tools (WAIS, WJ, MMPI, MCMI, and others) to complete comprehensive evaluations of ADHD, learning problems, and/or diagnostic clarification.
Consult with other professionals and team members as necessary for facilitation of patient care.
Plan and implement lectures and trainings for clinic and campus stakeholders, as requested.
May provide direct supervision to psychology interns and post-doctoral fellows.
Ongoing professional development, as self-directed, to maintain license in good standing and continued professional growth.
Licensed psychologist (must obtain license in the State of Ohio within 6 months of hire date).
Degree must be in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (PhD or PsyD).
Experience must include 3 years clinical/counseling.
