The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent, non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University and the George Washington Cancer Center, is seeking a neurologist or oncologist for a non-tenure track faculty appointment in the Department of Neurology and to lead the Cancer Center's Neuro-Oncology Multidisciplinary Program. Additional responsibilities include providing excellent patient care, teaching residents and medical students, and developing an active research program. Appointment will be at the rank of Associate or Full Professor and a competitive start-up package will be available for support of the research program of the successful candidate. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience.
The GW Cancer Center was established in 2015 to bring together the resources of the University, the GW Medical Faculty Associates, and the GW University Hospital to expand current research efforts in the fight against cancer and to position our institution as the premier cancer care provider in the Washington, DC area. The Center is partnering with the Department of Neurology to enhance basic/translational and clinical research efforts in neuro-oncology with a goal to develop breakthrough innovations in neurological cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Applicants must be Board certified or eligible in neurology or medical oncology, fellowship trained in neuro-oncology, and eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia and Maryland at the time of appointment.
