The Department of Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) in the College of Engineering at North Carolina A&T State University invites applications for a tenure-track/tenured faculty position preferably at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. Exceptional Candidates at the Assistant Professor rank will also be considered. The successful candidate is expected to engage and show leadership in teaching, research and service, and to assume the position of Director of the recently established Visualization and Computation Advancing Research (ViCAR) as part of their research and service activities. The ViCAR Center at NCAT is a collaboration between the Division of Research and Economic Development (DORED) and the College of Engineering/Department of Computational Science and Engineering. The Center is largely based on the strength of CSE and its state-of-the-art computing resources. Innovation and leadership in teaching and research — especially in the data sciences — and the ability to conduct scholarly research resulting in extramural funding must be demonstrated by the successful candidate. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to actively publish cutting edge research results in refereed journal and conference publications.

PhD in Computational Science and Engineering or similar or related fields by the anticipated date of employment.
