Coordinate, monitor, analyze and assist in post-award activities for both industry clinical trials and large multi-center federal clinical trial;oversee accounts receivable activities including invoicing and collections;investigate and report budget variances, and other duties as assigned.
Compile, research, and reconcile department budgets
Review the preparation of subcontracts; write and update internal procedures and controls for outside vendor contracts
Investigate budget variances
Explain and/or identify practical solutions to resolve budget variances
Create ad hoc reports to answer specific business questions
Understand generally accepted accounting principles
Solve complex issues creatively
Share ideas to improve processes and advance status quo
Lead accounts receivable function including invoicing and collections
Communicate effectively with co-workers, management and physicians
Support multiple staff and multiple projects simultaneously
Build and maintain intermediate to advanced Excel spreadsheets (vlookups, pivot tables, sumif, conditional formatting, etc.)
