The Center for Cyber Security supports the executive staff of the School of Computer Science in cooperation with the School of Criminal Justice and Public Administration in providing a multidimensional and multifaceted platform of academic, professional and policy development. The Center aims to provide academic and research leadership in cybersecurity-related disciplines, as well as community outreach. The Managing Assistant Director manages the day-to-day operations of the Center and will foster public and private partnerships in order to promote the Center as a resource for higher education, government, legislative and industry professionals in the field of cybersecurity, all with the mission to protect and improve cybersecurity technology and infrastructure. The Managing Assistant Director may be required to teach two in-load courses each semester (spring and fall) in addition to assigned managerial duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited college and three years of professional experience in a related field is required. A degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field is preferred. A security-related certification, such as CISSP, CISM and/or Security+ is desired. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
