Northern Kentucky University, College of Health Professions is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for the full-time position of Clinical Assistant Professor for the Respiratory Care Program. This position is responsible for instruction in the Respiratory Care Program. This position is directly responsible and accountable for ensuring the fulfillment of curricular goals and objectives. The position requires current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, as well as experience in teaching and Clinical Practice. This is a 9-month faculty position with appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor.
Primary Responsibilities :
Teach a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester (didactic, lab or clinical), as assigned, some of which may be off-campus at area clinical sites. Perform course development and work continuously towards maintaining a contemporary curriculum or developing new curriculum. Implement Respiratory Care program in accordance with the accreditation standards as defined by CoARC. Assist Program Director in the coordination of student recruitment, selection, guidance, instruction, and evaluation.
The successful candidate will possess a Master’s Degree in Respiratory Care or related field and a degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited school of Respiratory Care. At least 2 years of professional clinical experience and 1 year experience in education. Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Please provide a minimum of 3 references.
