Fall Semester 2019, Mondays, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm plus 3 hr skill lab/week.
Spring Semester 2020, Mondays and Tuesdays, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Summer Session 1, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The nursing instructor will be responsible for the clinical and skills lab experience of 6 to 8 practical nursing students. The position requires the nursing instructor to plan the clinical assignments, facilitate the meeting of clinical objectives, supervise demonstration of clinical skills and evaluate the students clinical performance in the skills lab and clinical setting. Weekly Formative evaluations must be reviewed and learning assignments graded and returned to students. Summative Evaluations must be completed at the end of each semester and reviewed with students and filed with the Department Chairperson. Cadidate must be able to work independently and initiate communication as needed with faculty members or the department chair.
SALARY: $56 per hour, non-benefited, MCCC position.
STARTING DATE: Fall semester beginning September, 2019. Orientation to the hospital and College is required before the start of the semester

Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
Minimum of 2 years full time nursing employment in the last 5 years.
MA Registered nurse license required.
Evidence of competence in clinical area of Medical Surgical Nursing
BLS Health Provider Level certification from AHA required
Familiarity with assessment of student learner outcomes
Previous clinical teaching experience is preferred
Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations
Experience with the use of educational technology is preferred
Candidates must clear a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment
Candidate may be required to clear a 10 panel urine drug screen per clinical placement policy as a condition of employment.
Additional Salary Information: $56 per hour, non-benefited, MCCC position.
