The Graduation Services student services assistant has contact with current students, both undergraduate and graduate, applying for graduation. The Graduation Services student services assistant will review student Degree Works audits and academic records to verify eligibility for graduation. Contact with parents may also occur concerning graduation, being careful to follow all FERPA guidelines. Frequent contact will occur with staff and faculty members of academic departments concerning issues or problems that may require assistance. The Graduation Services student services assistance may be asked to assist in registration functions, student outreach activities, and desk coverage in other areas of the Office of the Registrar. The Graduation Services student services assistant is responsible for processing course substitutions and exceptions via electronic requests and maintaining all student records that pertain to the graduation process.
