The department of Engineering-LAS Online Learning (ELO) at Iowa State University seeks applicants for an Instructional Support Specialist I or II. This position will provide instructional and technology support to students and faculty; assist with setup of online courses with integrated recorded and streamed content; and ensure student access to online courses. This position will work in collaboration with the production team, assisting with resource scheduling, video capture and quality control in different settings.
In addition to the above duties, the Instructional Support Specialist II will also develop training materials, including online documentation and videos and will supervise student workers.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to communicate with and work effectively with students, staff, and faculty with all levels of technical backgrounds; the ability to work independently in a time-sensitive work environment; and the ability to learn specialized programs to the point of having direct control of the content. All staff members are expected to interact collegially and maintain the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience in Business, Instructional Technology, Education or related field.
