Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Business Process Reengineering (BPR) Specialist within the OneSource Faculty and Staff Resource Center (OneSource FSRC). This position is responsible for applying process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects. The BPR specialist plays a key role in coordinating with multiple teams to ensure organization -wide integration of reengineering efforts.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Coordinates with OneSource FSRC leadership to identify BPR initiatives that aim to cut down enterprise costs.
Formulate reengineering strategy/methodology for the OneSource FSRC.
Analyze and document current business processes to identify process inefficiencies and redundancies.
Formulate and implement successful business process improvements and innovations based on analytics and modeling results; design and lead process modernization projects in order to implement process innovations/redesign and improvements.
Understand OneSource FSRC customers' strategic business information technology goals and advise reengineering of business processes to meet customer goals.
Coordinate between multiple teams to ensure organization-wide integration of reengineering efforts.
Work with OneSource FSRC communications to develop a stakeholder communications strategy and other outreach efforts to communicate process changes, improvements, redesign, etc.
Provide group facilitation, interviewing, training and additional forms of knowledge transfer for redesign efforts.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree in business, IT or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 years direct experience with business process reengineering within a large, complex organization.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of process/work flows and architecture.
Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and tools (KANBAN, Rational Tools, Kaizen, etc.).
Knowledge of change management principles and methods.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including problem structuring, analysis and ability to translate information into actionable implications and recommendations.
Ability to analyze large amounts of data and provide meaningful conclusions.
Ability to manage extensive projects and multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to work in a team with all levels of people, across the functions in an organization.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in working with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, etc.)
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Master's degree in business, information technology, or a related field.
Six Sigma certification.
