Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Staff Nurse (RN), for the Community Based Services – Intensive Recovery Treatment Support (IRTS) Program at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.
The primary purpose of the Staff Nurse is to provide nursing services and participate in the delivery of person centered, individualized, goal directed nursing care.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Collaborates with treatment team and the individual served in the development of an individualized treatment/recovery plan of care as clinically indicated, and in compliance with all regulatory time lines.
Utilizes evidence-based interventions and treatments specific to the diagnosis or problem.
Provides supports to individual to link up to initial appointment with community based addiction, physical and mental health care providers.
Provides co-occurring nursing care as clinically indicated.
Assesses individuals for potential crises and responds appropriately to physical, psychological and environmental crises to ensure safety.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
Possesses the ability to handle multiple priorities and ability to problem solve.
PC literate with basic knowledge of Microsoft office and email communication.
Must possess own vehicle or alternate means of transportation for use to outreach individuals served.
One year of substance abuse experience.
Experience with community based service provision to adults with addictions.
Ability to travel throughout the state.
