Under general supervision, supervises environmental services in the Ohio Union or other assigned buildings; as workload requirements vary, such as summer and break periods, may be assigned to different work areas; leads and coaches work team; assists with training and development of custodial staff; carries out projects including special event support, furniture inventory, storage rooms, carpet care program, and wall washing; maintains timekeeping records of hours worked, overtime, vacation and sick leave; prepares inventory; requisitions supplies and equipment; solves problems; promotes safety and security principles; works 2nd shift 3:00pm – 11:30pm but may be asked to work varied shifts; the Housekeeping Manager 1 must successfully complete and pass the CMI Basic Module training and exam during their probationary period-failure to do so may result in probationary removal.

7th grade plus: one course in supervision (or one month of experience); one course in inventory control (or one month of experience); 100 hours of training in operation of cleaning equipment (or one month of experience); or equivalent.
Valid driver's license; experience supervising and providing direction to staff; experience working in a union environment; ability to prioritize assigned work duties.
Target Salary: $14.50 - $16.00 Hourly
