George Mason University Student Health Services seeks a part-time Lab Technologist for the Fairfax campus with occasional travel to our Arlington and Science and Technology (formerly Prince William) campus locations. This position requires a flexible work schedule, generally 24-32 hours per week.$28.50 per hour
Two years Laboratory experience
Knowledge of medical terminology
Experience performing laboratory tests which may include, CLIA waived testing, following established procedures or protocols.
Experience performing laboratory tests utilizing required lab equipment and instruments, making minor adjustments as required. Experience working with biohazardous materials.
Responsible for laboratory maintenance, Quality Control and media and ordering supplies.
Communications skills; detail-oriented; willingness to work irregular hours and spend many hours standing
Experience in phlebotomy
*A bachelor's degree in medical technology or science; or professional certification preferred. *Current CPR certification; *Experience and knowledge working with college students *Experience with Electronic Health Records.
Salary: Hourly rate is $28.50; commensurate with education and experience.
