Under the direction of the Assistant Director for Student Success Initiatives, the incumbent provides high quality counseling, support and customer service to a wide range of UCI's various student populations, including first-generation, low-income, former foster youth, students with disabilities, student who have dependents, post-traditional students, current and prospective transfer students, undocumented students, and international students. This position will concentrate efforts and services on UCI?s current and prospective students who receive Pell grants and participate in the Summer Bridge Program. This position interprets related University policies and procedures as they affect student populations served and provides information and referrals to students on campus life and resources. Develops and implements academic related programming for Student Success Initiatives (SSI) eligible students, monitors student progress, outreaches to students experiencing academic and/or adjustment issues, provides counseling and referrals to other campus offices to enhance student success and persistence. This person also maintains paper and electronic student files and ensures confidentiality of student records; helps with analyses and reports that support the goals and mission of Student Success Initiatives and the Division of Undergraduate Education.The University of California, Irvine is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer advancing inclusive excellence.
