The Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner works interdependently supported by Physicians, Registered Nurses and Health Assistants providing the delivery of care including health maintenance and episodic care to the student, staff, faculty, and their dependents of the University according to department guidelines, policies and procedures. Responsible for the nursing assessments, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, along with telephone triage, patient education, and performing minor procedures. Clinical skills include wound care such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, splinting, medication administration, and phlebotomy. Requires flexibility in hours to meet the needs of the department.

Union: 00 - Non Union, Exempt or Temporary
Minimum experience of 2 years in an Urgent Care or Emergency Department. A graduate of an accredited School of Nursing registered nurse licensed in MA and authorization to practice in the expanded role in the state of Massachusetts. State and Federal DEA Certificate as required.
