Purpose of Position
Assistant Director will be part of the senior management team of Advantage Kentucky Alliance (AKA) setting training standards, managing staff, analyzing and improving organizational processes, and work to improve quality, product services and efficiency.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing KPI's within AKA that includes NIST MEP reporting metrics, delivery and client service engagements. Included will be managing overall operations; effective management of labor, productivity, quality control and safety measures as set by Executive Director. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company's policies and applicable laws. Position will have delivery responsibilities with AKA clients, client and partner engagements. Position can be remote and will have extensive in-state and periodic out-of-state travel.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are customary for this position but are not construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted and assigned based on administration discretion and institutional needs.
Develop, analyze and evaluate KPI's ensuring AKA is supporting business strategies, programs, and needs of clients;
Support NIST MEP initiatives as they relate to AKA operations;
Develop, maintain, and sustain partner and 3rd party delivery relations;
Develop operations systems and delivery methods;
Initiate and maintain client relations;
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Must be organized, detail orientated and a self-motivator;
Demonstrated management skills including superior organizational and project management skills to manage concurrent projects and initiatives from execution of a technical services agreement to the project close out;
Ability to respond quickly and effectively in a fast paced work environment with many interruptions;
Five years' experience in non/not-for-profit environment with proven ability to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve profitability;
Ten years' experience working as a manufacturing consultant with multiple clients delivering services;
Five years' experience managing others with direct reports;
Ten years' experience working with manufacturers and business executives;
Five years' experience in direct sales with ability to develop new business and sell/educate about technical services;
This position requires a valid driver's license, automotive insurance and dependable transportation.
Experience delivering workshops, conferences, and seminars.
