As a staff member of the Statler Hotel's Housekeeping Team, Room Attendants are responsible for performing a range of duties, including: providing guest service to ensure a pleasant, comfortable and enjoyable stay for hotel guests; thoroughly cleaning guest rooms according to Statler Hotel standards, checking and reporting on guest room maintenance issues, maintaining/stocking linen closets and carts, reporting/handling guest items left behind according to Statler Hotel procedures, assist with the training of students and new employees, helping to maintain guest privacy and security, performing other duties as assigned including fill-in roles in the department and elsewhere in the hotel.
The ideal candidate is someone that is very passionate about providing outstanding service to our customers and fellow team members.
Must enjoy cleaning and have strong attention to detail.
Must be outgoing and full of enthusiasm.
The physical demands for this position require a Room Attendant to be flexible and in good physical condition, as you should be able to easily lift mattresses and other heavy items.
Must be capable of being on your feet for long periods of times.
Must be able to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 75 pounds.
Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.
Ability to exert physical effort consistent with cleaning up to 15 rooms per shift.
The job entails frequent bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, carrying and lifting.
This position includes day, weekend and evening hours.
High school education, basic reading and writing skills.
2 years hotel Housekeeping experience preferred.
Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guest, co-workers and management to their understanding. Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance is critical.
