Vanderbilt University's AthleticsDepartment prepares student-athletes to become leaders and champions in life byplacing the highest values on integrity, character, sportsmanship andvictory. The university fields 16varsity teams (6 men's teams and 10 women's teams, a total of 351 studentathletes), 14 of which compete in the Southeastern Conference.
Duties and responsibilities
Create,organize and monitor the yearly recruiting calendar as it relates to visits,evaluation periods, contact periods, dead periods and anything else related tothe recruitment of prospects.
Createand organize the recruiting schedules for all men's basketball coaches.
Overseethe scholarship distribution chart and communicate with the head coach to updateany changes or modifications.
Organizeand maintain all prospect lists, keeping both the head coach and assistantcoaching staff updated on the current situation.
Evaluateand order recruiting services that best fit the needs of the organization.
Actas the compliance liaison for the men's basketball program as it relates torecruiting rules and regulations.
Provideinsight to men's basketball staff on the compliance issues surrounding on andoff campus recruiting.
Organizeand schedule recruit tape evaluation.
Developa plan to increase the efficiency in every aspect of the program andspecifically in recruiting.
Representthe interest and image of the head men's basketball coach, the organization andVanderbilt University.
Fullycomply with NCAA and SEC rules and regulations.
Anyadditional duties as assigned by the Head Men's Basketball Coach.
Bachelors Degree is required and two years of experience or the equivalent.
