We currently have the following part-time positions available:
We have need for experienced catering assistants, waitstaff, and bartenders. We seek enthusiastic, outgoing, friendly and cooperative individuals who have catering experience in professional or academic setting.
Basic Requirements for Catering Assistant:
Candidates must be able to bend and lift 30 lbs, walk and carry catering equipment, and speak and understand English.
Preferred candidates will have 3 years of experience in the hospitality industry Schedules will be flexible and hourly rate is competitive. Reliable transportation to and from work is critical
Basic Requirements for Waitstaff:
Must be experienced and trained in proper front of the house etiquette for a professional academic setting.
Knowledge of plated meal and wine service is required.
Must follow proper service techniques and catering procedures in formal dining events.
Experience with multiple table settings for sit down meals and station Buffet receptions.
Trained in proper passed hors d' ouevres and beverage service techniques.
Must have knowledge of setups other than plated meals.
Trained on how to properly clear from a place setting
Working knowledge of contemporary food and allergen concerns for a guest.
A ssist in the pre packing ,delivering, set up and breakdown of equipment and food and beverage for all Catering deliveries and events
Assist in the cleaning, organizing, and restocking of catering equipment before, during and after the event.
Be professional attired and adhere to a high level of personnel hygiene.
Practice safe food sanitation at all times such as wearing plastic gloves when handling food.
Keeping hair pulled back, neatly trimmed beards, no jewelry, clean hands and fingernails.
Basic Requirements for Bartenders:
Bartenders and servers must have up to date Tips or Servesafe Certifications.
Bartenders must have working knowledge of standard Bar Set ups for all levels of service including china and disposable ware service.
Bartenders must know to open and pour wine to guest as well being mindful of portion control.
Bartenders must know how to properly make 1.25oz alcoholic drinks that can be produced off of limited temporary bars.
We require experience working in the premier event venues in Boston such as the JFK Library, Museum of Fine Arts, Harvard Art Museums, Boston Public Library, Boston Center for the Arts.
The Employee should also display warm hospitality skills to our guest, and also possess the ability to anticipate our guest needs.
An employee in this position must complete all appropriate background checks at the time of hire, promotion, or transfer.
