The Enrollment Communications Coordinator, Visit Promotion will be responsible for a multi-layered communication approach to recruit prospective students and their families. Writing, social media, phone calls, text messages, presentations, video and communication and website communication are crucial aspects of the position. A portion of the job will include event/visit planning and query pulling. The position will focus on the visit promotion processes and programming for incoming students and families (coordinating planned programs for new/potential BGSU students, etc.).
Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
Helping with event planning, working recruitment events and presenting.
Researching, writing, proofreading and editing copy for all forms of enrollment management communications: email, print, web, social media. Review and edit enrollment materials for consistency and accuracy. Research and evaluate current methods and trends in print and electronic communication and marketing.
Assist campus partners with writing and messages for enrollment communication, while maintaining a strong working relationship with Marketing and Communications. When appropriate, conduct interviews with BGSU students (incoming and current), staff and faculty to generate admission-specific content and success narratives.
Pull and manage data requests and queries.
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
Ability to write to a variety of audiences, in particular high school and college-age students, transfer, non-traditional, parents, international, among others
Strong editing skills
Enjoys working independently
Ability to pull data query requests
Social media experience with an interest in social media trends and analytics
Experience with photography and videography
Public relations experience
Comfortable in recruitment and event scenarios
Phone and text experience
Full-time, Administrative staff position available. Administrative Grade Level 352. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Full benefit package available.

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, marketing, communication or related field required. Successful candidate must have Bachelor’s degree conferred by June 1, 2019.
Also the following experience is required:
1 year of writing experience, which can include work as an undergraduate or graduate student. Prefer experience in journalism and social media. Final candidates will be asked to provide a portfolio of writing samples with a social media test on the day of the interview.
