Coe College seeks organized and energized applicants for the role of Programming and Student Organization Coordinator.
The Programming and Student Organization Coordinator will provide support for student organizations, activity and leadership programming, and Fraternities and Sororities at Coe. This position will work with a Residence Life Area Coordinator to be the primary advisor to the Student Activities Committee (SAC) which has a budget of over $100,000 each year. It will also plan and implement several larger, student-focused events including the Leadership Conference, LoCoe, and InvolvementFest. This is a live-on position. This position works closely with other Dean of Students team members to use a student-centered approach when supporting students in their co-curricular interests.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate and implement campus-wide programming in partnership with other departments on campus.
Plan and implement InvolvementFest, LoCoe local music and food festival, and the Leadership Conference.
Share oversight and advisement of student organizations, including attending Student Senate and Living Environments Committee meetings as needed.
Coordinate and implement leadership programming on campus including the annual leadership conference.
Advise Student Activities Committee (programming board), Homecoming Committee, and oversee implementation of student events.
Oversee contracting of entertainment on campus including alcohol-free Late Night Programming.
Oversee a Greek Life program consisting of ten (10) national fraternities and sororities, including two (and up to four) NPHC organizations.
Serve as advisor to Inter-fraternity and Pan-Hellenic Councils.
Coordinate leadership trainings for Greek and Student Activities Committee Leadership.
Assist in oversight of all student organizations and implement trainings.
Serve as member of the New Student Orientation Team.
Serve as a hearing officer through the conduct system.
Serve on the crisis response team, including sharing on-call duty responsibilities with other Dean of Students team members.
Complete other tasks as requested by the Dean of Students.
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in student personnel, counseling or related field preferred.
Academic or work experience at a residential, Liberal Arts college preferred.
Valid driver’s license, ability to be insured under College auto insurance.
Successful completion of a background check in accordance with Coe College policy.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Required to live on campus.
Ability to lift, push, pull up to 40 lbs occasionally.
Frequent late or weekend hours are expected and/or required.
Driving Coe vehicles as required.
