This position is with the Program in Physical Therapy at the Medical School Campus.
Responsible for assisting with laboratory duties in a research setting. Performs routine tests and data processing with direction from supervisor, manager, or higher level technician.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists investigator with research studies and experiments related to human biomechanics and physiology, to include:
Processing experimental motion capture data
Building 3D computer models of human bone and muscle from medical image data
Assisting with research report preparation
Assisting with general lab maintenance, cleaning, and supplies management
Assisting with experimental data collections involving human subjects (training in human subjects research will be provided)
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Some experience working in a biomechanics laboratory setting.
Working knowledge of MATLAB software, Visual3D, and/or medical image processing techniques.
Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office software.
Demonstrated ability to maintain complete and organized records/reports.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Able to work independently at a computer with shared computer resources.
This is a temporary position of up to 6 months, working part-time approximately 15-20 hours per week.

The hourly rate for this position is $13.00.
High school diploma or equivalent
