Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine are seeking a full-time Division Head of Pediatric Ophthalmology, who will also serve as a faculty member at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Responsibilities include clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activities, and the administration of the division. She or he will work collaboratively with appropriate hospital and medical staff to plan, implement, evaluate and improve programs in the Department; oversee quality improvement and related initiatives to ensure the professional aspects of regulatory compliance; and work closely with our academic affiliate at the Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine.
We are interested in candidates who have experience in leadership roles and qualify for the academic rank of Associate or Full Professor. The candidate must have their MD degree and be board certified in Ophthalmology with added qualifications in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and/or ophthalmic subspecialty experience focused on pediatric eye disease. In addition to clinical experience and a commitment to teaching, the successful candidate will have demonstrated scholarly activity in an area of clinical or basic science research.
