This position will use best practices such as behavior-based interview techniques, interviews applicants for vacant positions and selects best candidates. Develops staff through effective coaching/counseling, reinforces University's core competencies. Collaborates with Employee Relations and applies appropriate, consistent corrective action. Provides direct reports with performance and behavior related feedback, negative and positive, daily. Completes PEs at least annually. Fosters communication through regular staff meetings. Ensures compliance with UK policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations. Constantly monitors work environment for improvement opportunities and implements improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail; exceptional planning and organizational skill; effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to solve complex problems and advise others; and knowledge of anesthesia practices.

Required Related Experience:
Required License/Registration/Certification :
RN or RRT
Bachelor preferred. Will consider RN with 5-7 years of OR experience or RRT with 5-7 years of critical care or other relevant experience.
