Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this position is to assist students and families in securing the financial resources necessary to attend college by accurately reviewing and processing student documents and professionally answering first-line financial aid application and eligibility questions in a high-volume, fast-paced customer facing office. Essential duties includes but not limited to:
Field phone calls and emails from students and parents, and communicate effectively with students (and/or parent) that need to complete Financial Aid documentation.
Communicate clearly the federal, state and institutional regulations and policies surrounding the verification process.
Scan and enter submitted documents in the digital imaging system.
Diagnose problems and concerns based on knowledge of financial aid application and eligibility processes.
Provide basic advising management and resolution.
Discern and appropriately route complex and higher-level inquiries and situations.
Use an open-ticket system to track and route inquiries.
Research systems and resources as appropriate.
Identify unique concerns and trends.
Additional administrative support may be required in other functional areas within the office, including call center backup, and scholarship processing.
