The Medical Assistant for the Wellness Center provides direct clinical care and diversified administrative and secretarial support for the Wellness Center consisting of Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) and Student Health Services. Responsibilities include: direct patient care in the clinical area and coordination of daily office activity; communication of Center policies, practices and procedures; serving as receptionist to campus community members and others transacting business with Counseling & Psychological Services or Student Health Services; administering details of workshops and other outreach activities; coordinating and administering functions related to processing of insurance forms; and overseeing student workers.
1.Candidate should be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, who is certified by the AAMA, or is exam eligible; or certified as an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician).
2.Two years experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic/physician's office setting, including clinical experience and
