Loyola University Maryland is seeking a Client Services Engineer to join our Technology Services department.
The Client Services Engineer will ensure continued stable operation and improvement of Loyola-provided services. Plan, install, configure, maintain, support, document and optimize the software and hardware for all assigned systems and services. Analyze and resolves level 2 & 3 end user issues in a timely and accurate fashion. Design and implement enterprise quality infrastructure for systems in order to meet the broad needs of the organization in the present and future. An engineer will administer systems facilitating financial transactions (dining, events, athletics, etc.), Card Reader Management (laundry, vending, activity, etc.), Mobile Device Management (phones, tablets, etc.) , Network Access Management , Service Management System (request fulfillment, incident and problem resolution), Configuration Management System (central management of the Loyola computing environment), Campus Print Management System, Virtual Desktop Environment (remote access to a Loyola computing session) and other systems/services as required. They will respond appropriately to complex level 2 & 3 escalated requests and perform business process analysis to advocate for efficiency. Evaluate/design solutions and propose purchases of hardware/software for Loyola campuses. Design software installation packages for mass deployment to the computing environment. Continuously analyze and note areas for improvement across Technology Services' portfolio. Engineers forecast budgets, procures and deploys technology hardware to meet Loyola needs (3:1 device to employee ratio), and create and maintain multiple Loyola configurations for deployment to all University campuses. An engineer plays a key technical role in University portfolio projects.
Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of experience required.
