Research coordinator/community health navigator (CHN) will form part of a team that will work collegially to carry out the study protocol. The goal is to improve asthma outcomes. Duties include recruiting and retaining study participants, data collection and management, ensuring fidelity and uniformity of the intervention, and contributing to the research process with ideas and problem solving skills. The CHN must be detail and accuracy oriented as well as personable and flexible. The CHN will travel to participants’ homes in low-income neighborhoods in West Philadelphia to complete research visits. They will also accompany patients to some medical visits. The CHN must develop and maintain good relations with busy staff in these clinical settings.
