Production Associate, Center for the Arts
George Mason University’s Center for the Arts seeks qualified candidates for the Production Associate position. The primary purpose of the Production Associate position is to support the Production unit. That support is to include the advance, implementation, performance and reconciliation of an event. In addition to directly supporting the Production unit, the position will work within the College of Visual and Performing Arts to facilitate the needs of the academic units. Work as an onsite supervisor/event lead/Stage Manager for Great Performances, CVPA Units and Rental clients of the Center for the Arts. To include management of the event, coordination of the production team and coordination with the Artist/client;
Work with the Production Manager to advance the logistics of incoming performances. This is to include schedules, artist logistics, and technical needs;
Support Schedule Coordinator with data entry to scheduling program (25Live); Maintain Master Excel Calendar and schedules for Ancillary Event Services; arrange preliminary meetings; enter ancillary costs to Recaps;
Aid Artist Services with hospitality setups, shopping and transportation as needed; and
Aid Production Manager with all special projects to include facilities projects and other activities supporting the College of Visual & Performing Arts.
Demonstrated knowledge of Theater, Opera, Music, and Dance;
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
Demonstrated experience working in professional theater;
Experience working in a professional non-profit setting with professional technicians; and
BA in Theater Production/Stage Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of 25Live software.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
