Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, within University Human Resources, is seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Human Resources Staff Associate. The position reports to the Sr. Benefits Specialist, located in the Benefits Office on the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences Newark Campus.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Greets visitors and serves as initial point of contact with customers.
Issues ID cards and performs associated transactions.
Maintains a professional demeanor while resolving a variety of routine to complex benefit issues successfully.
Assists in processing a variety of time-sensitive documents.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, organization, coordination and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
In the absence of a supervisor, may be required to make on-the-spot decisions regarding the issuance of ID cards and/or parking information.
Works efficiently in a fast paced environment
Demonstrates excellent customer service, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Extremely detail oriented and organized
Experience working in Benefits and/or PeopleSoft
