We are currently seeking a Mental Health Clinician III for the Child Services-Partial Hospital Department. The Mental Health Clinician III, under the direction of the Clinician Supervisor, provides comprehensive assessment and therapeutic intervention for the psychological and social needs of clients, that includes development of treatment plans, conducting individual, family and group therapy, participating in the development of milieu programs, and conducting outreach liaison activities to institutions and social agencies, as assigned, and in program evaluation.
Administers high level diagnostic evaluations or specialized psychological testing.
Involves patients and/or family members in the development/review of treatment plans.
Performs case management functions to ensure overall coordination of treatment services via systems linkages, service procurement, referrals, patient advocacy and community liaison.
Maintains and supervises clinical records in compliance with UBHC and JCAHO standards.
Participates in development, implementation, and evaluation of the Child & Adolescent Partial Care Program.
Attends to professional development by remaining current in knowledge of trends and development in mental health.
Understands and adheres to Rutgers compliance standards and meets all annual requirements.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in a mental health discipline.
Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
Valid driver's license required.
