GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop Bloodborne Pathogens and Infection Control CEU Program for Funeral Service in an online format and/or deliver online instruction and assessment of student learning. Course to be delivered during the Summer Semester, 2019. The Bloodborne Pathogen and Infection Control curriculum must be developed in compliance with the regulations of the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration regarding information on blood borne pathogen exposure risks and protection from such risks, as delineated in 239 CMR 3.12(13) and 29 CFR 1910.1030.
Master's degree in Public Health and a current Funeral Director Professional License.
Expertise in teaching a bloodborne pathogen and infection control CEU program at the community college level.
Experience developing and using modern multimedia (audio, video, podcasts, etc.) to enhance student engagement in active and collaborative learning.
Experience using evidence based best practices in online learning pedagogy (e.g., frequent communication, active learning practices) that support student success in ubiquitous spaces.
Experience teaching a diverse student body at a community college or similar environment.
Enthusiasm for and interest in excellence for the delivery of online learning.
Experience using evidence based strategies to support student success including frequent communication and active learning.
Documentation of professional development in online course design and pedagogy through Quality Matters or equivalent program, or willingness to complete Quality Matters online professional development modules by July 15, 2019:

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional development in teaching CEU programs at the community college level.
Expertise teaching the necessary content knowledge in bloodborne pathogens and infection control using a popular Learning Management System (i.e. Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard). Moodle training with respect to course organization and optimization will be provided as needed.
COMPENSATION: Compensation for developing this 3-hour online course is $375. Completion of the Quality Matters online professional development program by July 15, 2019 earns an additional stipend of $250.
