Provides range of psychological services to students, especially but not exclusively from historically marginalized populations, to help address mental disorders and developmental challenges that may interfere with personal, social, and academic functioning. Provides training/supervision for doctoral psychology graduate students and advanced clinical training/supervision for Center's psychology interns.
CLINICAL SERVICE: Provide range of culturally responsive psychological services to students, especially but not exclusively from historically marginalized populations, to help address mental disorders and developmental challenges that may interfere with personal, social, and academic functioning; Perform initial triage screening and assessment, formal psychological assessment, risk assessment, and crisis management; Provide individual/group/couples counseling, psycho-education, and appropriate referrals to services on campus and in the community.
DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION PROGRAMMING: Provide community level interventions including programs such as suicide prevention, stress management, life/coping skills, and consultation with members of the university community around mental health concerns; Develop and implement programs geared toward the mental heath needs of under-served populations; Develop and foster relationships with campus partners that serve under-served populations and diversity-focused student organizations and groups; Provide mental health expertise in issues pertaining to under-served populations.
TRAINING: Provide training and supervision for doctoral psychology graduate students and advanced clinical training and supervision for interns in the center's APA accredited internship in psychology; Serve as a staff resource for diversity and multicultural training.
OTHER: Complete clinical documentation; Attend department and campus meetings; Coordinate any assigned areas of responsibility; Chair the Staff Diversity Committee; Serve on Division and University committees as appropriate.
