This is a TAMUCT College of Arts & Sciences Professional Track, full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Lecturer of Aviation Science.
Primarily responsible for guiding the aviation science degree programs, including teaching undergraduate courses in Aviation Science, advises students, and assessing the program. The successful candidate will also participate in the necessary operations of the institution, which include; serving on departmental and university committees. Other duties may be assigned as necessary and appropriate.
Must have at least an earned Master of Science in Aerospace or Aviation Science from a regionally accredited institution, or a closely related degree. Applicants must hold FAA Commercial pilot and instrument ratings and a current Flight Instructor Certificate, or FAA ATP certification. Must possess the minimum credential standards of both the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), which normally include at least 18 graduate semester credit hours in the subject area or suitable approved justifications. Must exhibit a sustained record of scholarly activity. Must demonstrate a commitment to faculty governance and working with diverse populations. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a knowledge of the FAA regulations pertaining to pilot training.

* A background in professional aviation, specifically flight instruction department manager; charter pilot, corporate pilot, air carrier pilot, military FIXED WING pilot
* A doctorate in Aerospace, Aviation Science or a closely related field is preferred.
* Preference will also be given to applicants who have demonstrated excellence in teaching and a commitment to student advising. Teaching experience will consist of classroom and online past activities.
Salary: Commensurate with experience and credentials.
