The Institute for Population Research (IPR), within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks an IPR Manager to join our team. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors. Serves as the administrative manager for the Institute for Population Research. Manages budget/financial functions for the department; monitors fiscal and HR activity; collaborates with the IPR Director to prepare budget projections and plans; prepares budget reports; advises Director regarding finances and reports; reconciles fiscal and HR data and reports each month; initiates/approves HRAs, eRequests and eTravel requests against OSU accounts and external grants; processes journals; serves as backup for IPR grants manager; with IPR Director, initiates and develops administrative policies and procedures, identifies and contributes to resolution of operational problems; serves on IPR Leadership Committee, provides Director and Leadership with policy interpretation; oversees day to day operation of IPR business office; administration of IPR suite of offices, including office assignments, use of space for events, and routine maintenance; liaison between ASC Tech, OCIO, FOD; coordinates events, seminars, workshops, including travel and itinerary for visiting speakers; supervises graduate and undergraduate student workers; oversees IPR communication via email, and IPR social media presence; serves as coordinator for the Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialty in Demography, liaison between graduate school, home departments, and graduate students.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; experience in an administrative role with fiscal job responsibilities.
Knowledge of University policies, rules and regulations; experience in a position with human resources responsibilities; experience preparing and managing budgets; knowledge of accounting principles and applications; experience using university systems including, eRequest, SIS, PeopleSoft, HRA and reporting; advanced knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; supervisory experience.
Target Salary: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 Annually
