VUMC TempForce has opportunities for a Hearing/SpeechTechnician. In this role you will be directly responsible for Supportspatient care with occasional guidance. Maintains and prepares supplies andequipment, materials and/or information development.
Â·Providessupport to speech language pathologists and audiologists through collection ofdata, assisting with researching topics, transportation of patients or otherpatient care support services.
Â·Assists insafe provision of functional activities (leading hand washing, toileting/diaperchanging, snack activities for pediatrics).
Â· Provides support to speech languagepathologists and teachers of the deaf and hard of hearing for implementingdevelopmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
Â·Maintainssupplies at acceptable levels.
Â·Preparestreatment areas (set up group therapy rooms based on number of patients servedand focus of therapy, set up individual therapy/assessment rooms based upon ageand/or diagnosis, clean up/reorganize treatment rooms at the conclusion ofservice).
Â· Provides basic screening services (Prepareinfant or child for hearing screening, performs hearing screening andcommunicates results to family).
