We seek an Assistant Director of Annual Giving who has previous development experience and a passion for growing an annual giving program, who enjoys working with data, and has an understanding of fundraising best practices to increase revenue and alumni participation via multiple channels including direct mail, phonathon, crowdfunding, e-solicitations and social media.
The incumbent will play a key role in developing UMBC's annual giving program with multiple constituencies including students, alumni, parents, faculty, and staff through multiple channels. Specific duties include: drafting direct mail; leading fundraising efforts for the university's crowdfunding platform; managing complex data files; integrating social media with annual giving solicitations as well as performing other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred).
At least two years of demonstrated experience working in annual giving, membership, or development at a nonprofit organization or in higher education.
