The Clinical Education Outreach Coordinator, under supervision and/or direction of the Dean of Health Sciences, perform outreach activities with clinical and educational organizations to increase the number of clinical placements for expansion/growth of all health sciences programs for Montgomery College's Health Sciences area. Serve as the liaison to the General Counsel's office on all legal issues concerning the Health Sciences' students and programs. Work consists of administrative, informational and technical activities that facilitate the daily operations of the program including interaction with administrators, faculty and staff across the organization.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Initiate and compose communication to draft new clinical affiliation/MOUs agreements with the Office of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs between the Health Sciences Programs and clinical sites to support existing and four-year institutions/ new health science programs.
Represent Montgomery College's Health Sciences at local, county, and state levels for education meetings, conferences etc. at the request of the Dean of Health Sciences.
Create, compile and distribute marketing materials for the Health Sciences' programs, with the Office of Institutional Advancement and Campus Recruiter.
Organize, oversee, assist and/or support special events for Health Sciences (Health Science Transfer Day, Nursing Advisory Board Meeting, DMS, Advisory Board, or other special projects) on campus for MC's Health Sciences students and faculty to meet their healthcare requirements.
Eligible applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States and not require employer visa sponsorship.
Bachelor's Degree in education or some healthcare related area.
Three (3) years of job-related experience in either an educational setting or a healthcare provider setting.
Thorough knowledge of contract language and legal terminology, articulation agreements, community college mission and student populations served by community colleges. Knowledge of the healthcare delivery system, and local provider community and market.
Master's Degree in education or some healthcare related area.
