Job Description Summary
The All-Sports Camp Counselor is responsible for the supervision of summer campers ages 6-12 through the six-week summer camp. The Counselor is also responsible for the daily supervisor of summer camp activities, administration of first aid and CPR, completion of daily forms, mediate disputes, and communicate with administration, campers, and parents.
Prepare and supervise camp activities and facilities as needed.
Supervise movement of campers between activity areas.
Assist with camper check in/check out procedures.
Instruct campers in various sport and camp activities.
Promote an inclusive and safe environment for camp participants.
Adapt to any issues regarding the site and/or employees and effectively communicate these issues with the necessary personnel.
Provide mentorship to campers by communicating detailed feedback in a constructive manner.
Identify and assist with discipline problems, or injuries and properly document the situation.
Provide customer service to campers and parents in various situations.
Administer immediate first aid and CPR when necessary. Know and implement the Emergency Action Procedures when the situation requires.
Attend all counselor training and mandatory meetings

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Comfortable developing and leading various types of activities
Must be able to communicate effectively and relate to youth, parents and program staff
Must be flexible and able to adapt easily to changes that occur on short notice
Must possess a positive and enthusiastic attitude Certifications: CPR/AED and First Aid certification. Must pass a background check and complete Protection of Minor training and Rec emergency operations training.
Must be 18 years of age by hire date.
Day Camp Dates: Job timeframe: Monday through Friday June 7 – Aug 2 (no camp July 1-5) Mandatory staff training from Friday, June 7, Monday June 10 - Wednesday, June 12. Shifts fall between 7:30am - 6pm, M-F. Mandatory staff meetings - Wednesdays 5pm
Hours/rate: 15-30 hours a week. Scheduled hours are contingent upon camper sign-ups. Hourly rate: $9.50
