CSGold Application Specialist (Professional Technologist 2) - ITS 11555
Information Technology Services at West Virginia University is seeking applications for a CSGold Application Specialist (Professional Technologist 2). This position is responsible for assisting Sr. Application Administrators with all implementation, maintenance, reporting and support tasks associated with the Classroom Attendance/WVU Mountaineer Card (CSGold by The CBord Group) used by 30,000 students, faculty, and staff on the Morgantown and regional campuses. The Mountaineer Card is used for admission to University events, University facilities (doors) and functions, for residence hall access, as well as a debit card and meal plan card for Dining Services, vending services, laundry services and purchases from University and private vendors. Services are also provided for Potomac State and WVUIT campuses.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Assist Sr. Application Administrators in the administration, configuration, development and support of CSGOLD/Classroom Attendance/Mountaineer Card system, backend databases and Mobile ID applications.
Assist in the development of programs to pull and integrate vital information from other WVU databases (Banner/STAR/MAP) to maintain informational integrity of the CS Gold and Onity databases.
Troubleshoot complex problems where the analysis requires knowledge of many diverse system components, such as network, firewalls, database, operating system, server hardware, and other software components.
Provide operational support to various business units and customers of the Mountaineer Card system.
Create, maintain, and run reports for customers based on Mountaineer Card System Data using SQL Queries on Oracle databases.
Create, maintain and update server/application documentation as well as develop support documentation and troubleshooting guidelines.
Other Duties assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Two (2) years combined:
Experience working with interconnected enterprise applications.
Experience with Microsoft Windows servers.
Experience writing technical documentation for both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Knowledge of enterprise database systems (Oracle preferred).
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows servers and workstations.
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems.
Ability to quickly learn and support new and changing technologies.
