Dental Assistant II - Clinical Affairs, School of Dental Medicine - (19001307)
Clinical Affairs/Pre-Doctoral Clinics provides dental assistant support to DMD students, faculty and patients.
The dental assistant will assist DMD students, faculty, dental assistant vocational students and patients. The individual will answer student questions, attend session huddles, walk through floor and ensure operatories are stocked. The individual will set up and break down operatories and clean operatory areas after each patient when needed. In addition, the individual will be responsible for sterilization compliance and maintaining equipment and materials in accordance with OSHA, federal and state guidelines. The individual will also be responsible for stocking all materials needed in the operatories daily. Provide back-up to the floor dispensaries. Ensure PPE and infection control is in compliance in the clinics.
Vocational/Technical training or Associates degree.
3-5 years' experience in multi-specialty dentistry.
Certifications: DA; Radiology.
Exhibits knowledge and proficiency with sterile technique and assisting various specialties.
Sound knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance in regards to infection control, blood borne pathogens, sterilization and radiology.
Special Work Schedule Requirements: 8:30am - 5:00pm (2 nights/7pm)
