The Zhou laboratory (http://zhoulab.dgsom.ucla.edu/) at UCLA, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, is looking to recruit an Associate Researcher to conduct experimental research in non-invasive precision oncology. Blood-based diagnostics, i.e. liquid biopsy, presents the most promising direction for non-invasive early detection of cancer. We use cutting-edge genomic and bioinformatic approaches to develop advanced approaches for non-invasive early cancer diagnosis and monitoring. The individual sought will develop innovative experimental technologies to improve the diagnostic accuracy and reducing the cost. He/she shall develop ideas and concepts, perform experiments, interpret the data, and write manuscripts. He/she shall participate in training graduate students and post-doc associates. He/she shall play leadership roles in the research team.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent, demonstrated leadership experience in research, and excellent molecular biology skills and record of research performance. The candidate must have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
