Stanford Summer Session Summer Session is Stanford University's fourth academic quarter, offering approximately 175 courses from 35 departments to over 2,500 graduate, undergraduate, and advanced high school students. Along with serving the needs of Stanford matriculated students, Summer Session makes it possible for visiting students to take advantage of the same courses, culture, and resources available at Stanford University. The mission of the Stanford Summer Session office is to offer a transformative educational experience to all students, both in the classroom and through an array of enrichment programs, community-building activities, academic support services, and more! Summer Session is seeking a Student Services Specialist who will be critical in providing administrative and operational support to students, parents/guardians, staff, and faculty on issues ranging from admissions, financial aid, housing, registrar services, visa services, student life, advising, and academic services. As a Specialist, you will have the opportunity to develop and refine skills in customer support and service and project management, and you will become familiar with the operations of a dynamic, administrative office within a large institution like Stanford University. It is expected that in this role, you will resolve routine issues within your work area, work closely with the finance team to assist with financial reporting and transactions, training, and process improvement, and contribute to the transformative educational experience that is Summer Session. Your responsibilities include:*
Manage day-to-day communications with students, parents, staff, and others via email and phone.
Grow into a Summer Session subject matter expert.
Update electronic databases and edit department literature and associated materials.
Process basic financial transactions.
Coordinate logistics for activities, meetings, and events.
Review documents and forms for completeness and accuracy. * - Other duties may also be assigned

In addition, preferred requirements include: Associates degree and one year of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
Please note: Our new Stanford Redwood City campus brings together 2,700 staff in a collaborative environment that reflects Stanford's culture and mission. Our office is expected to relocate to the Stanford Redwood City campus in Fall 2019.
