The laboratory of Dr. Dennis Hallahan and Dr. Dinesh Thotala in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Washington University in Saint Louis seeks to appoint a post-doctoral scientist. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated scientist to work on drug discovery project. The candidate will work with a highly collaborative team of scientists to conceive, design, plan and implement experiments and assays to develop peptides and antibodies to novel anti-cancer targets.
The appointee will work using a combination of molecular biology, biochemistry and genetic approaches. The project will focus on antibody and peptide development and would need knowledge in variety of biochemical, molecular biology and immunological assays. The drugs are validated using preclinical models and hence experience with mouse models is highly desirable.

A graduate with a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cancer Biology, or a related field
A strong publication record
Ability to design and conduct experiments independently
Experience with molecular biology or biochemical techniques
Ability to write manuscripts and fellowship applications, and present their research at national meetings
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with mouse models and cellular immunology
Experience in radiation biology and/or antibody development
Experience in drug development and/or protein purification
Experience in CRISPR-Cas9 technology, genomics and/or proteomics
Base pay commensurate with experience.
