This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Administrative Program Assistant position for the Extension and Experiment Station Communications at Oregon State University (OSU).
The Business Support Specialist (Administrative Program Assistant) is a staff member of Oregon State University’s Extension and Experiment Station Communications unit and reports to the Assistant to the Director/Office Manager.
EESC supports the strategic communication needs of the statewide OSU Extension Service and the Oregon Agricultural Experiment Station (AES). EESC collaborates with Extension and AES faculty and staff on projects that range from multimedia educational design and publishing to technology adoption, news, impact reporting, marketing, and accountability efforts.
The Business Support Specialist is a member of the administrative support team, primarily focused on coordinating unit accounting, finances, travel, and contractual arrangements. This individual will apply OSU accounting methods and controls to ensure timely and accurate processing and reporting of business data.

Three years of office experience which included two years at full performance level and experience generating documents; and Lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.
Demonstrated strong organizational skills with the ability to take initiative, prioritize workload, and work independently in order to meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Proficient in internet browsing/search skills for researching/locating information pertinent to business support role.
Excellent written and verbal communications.
Exceptionally high accuracy level and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, including willingness to participate on teams.
A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSUSTANDARD 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months.
